Hidden in an almost unknown part of Bali, on the northwest coast, Matahari Beach resort & Spa is the perfect place for those seeking a relaxing holiday. The 3 hour journey from the airport in Denpasar to Matahari Beach resort through a beautiful landscape of rice terraces, temples and small villages gives you the chance to receive an impression of the natural and cultural variety this wonderful country has to offer.
The staff of the resort will do their utmost best to give you a relaxing holiday with a diversity of cultural, culinary and wellness experiences. The 16 bungalows with 32 spacious rooms are built in a traditional Balinese style. For the construction of the resort, which is harmoniously integrated into the beautiful countryside, only local materials such as sandstone, marble, palemanan, wood and bamboo were used. All bungalows have a large private terrace.
The Garden view and Panorama view bungalows all have air-conditioning, minibar, safe and a half open bathroom with hot/cold water shower and western toilet. The Deluxe bungalows are equipped with the same facilities but have additionally double wash-basins and bidet. The Super Deluxe Bungalows offer as an extra a private pavilion in the middle of a lotus pond
At the Dewi Ramona restaurant you can taste the best Balinese and vegetarian dishes from the daily changing menu. The Leon Beach Bistro serves Balinese and western dishes, prepared right at your table in the relaxed beach atmosphere.

Start your cooking lesson with a visit to the local market, together with the chef who will introduce you to the secrets of Asian cuisine. Together you will create a divine Asian dinner with the fresh local products purchased in the morning. Later you can enjoy the food you have prepared. To round off the lesson, you will receive a personal certificate together with a carefully selected collection of recipes.
Parwathi's spa exclusively designed Sthira and Sukha massages and treatments mirror the idea of unity attained through eternal duality - relaxing and rejuvenating. In front of the resort is a incredible house reef, which is part of a worldwide project of breeding coral. The house reef is suitable for night dives, beach dives and instruction dives.
Boat dive excursions to Menjangan Island and local shore dives are offered daily.

Local dive sites are located along a 2000m stretch of coastline. Starting at 4-5m they drop down to depths of between 30/40m. Stunning intact corals, a multitude of Macro-life and occasionally big fish, can be seen, along with the usual, “fish soup”.
