In December 2000 this tropical resort at Alona Beach on Bohol Island in the Philippines opened. It is a large spacious resort with 8 large cottages giving 16 separate rooms (2 to a cottage), a swimming pool and restaurant bar. The cottages are built from bamboo and wood, both of which are local natural resources, and covered with leaves giving it that unique native pacific appeal.
There are 6 family rooms consisting of a double bed, a single bed and a pull out bed to sleep up to 4 people. The other rooms consist of 2 single beds and a pull out bed to sleep up to 3 people. All the rooms have either air-conditioning or ceiling fan, shower, and a terrace overlooking the stunning gardens and the swimming pool.
The A La-carte restaurant is built using the same local materials and serves local Filipino delicacies as well as international cuisine. The restaurant seats 30 people and has unspoilt views of the garden and the ocean. For groups of 4 or more there is the option of having a buffet style meal.
Within a minute’s walk from the resort is the PADI 5 star Dive Shop that has the facility for storing your personal equipment so you do not have to carry it around the resort. The staff are happy to get everything ready for your superb days diving in the local reefs.
