Filitheyo lies on the eastern side of the North Nilande Atoll, between two channels. Around the island is an unexplored reef with superb diving.
Filitheyo island resort is developed with respect for the environment and the tropical vegetation. The triangular island is surrounded by beautiful white beaches and covered with palm trees, rubber trees and mangrove with small paths trough this shady interior.
The 125 rooms are housed in attached or detached spacious bungalows. All bungalows have a marvellous sea view and access to the beach while the palm trees provide shadow and privacy.
The rooms feature a mini bar, air conditioning, telephone, TV, stereo player and a spacious open bathroom with its own garden. In the bathroom is desalinate warm and cold water.
The 94 Superior bungalows are build in double, attached bungalows. 10 of them have connecting doors and are suitable for families.
The 15 Deluxe bungalows are detached and have as an extra a bathtub.
The 16 waterbungalows are built on stilts in the south of the lagoon. They feature a spacious sundeck with sunbeds and stairs leading straight into the lagoon. Instead of a bathtub in the bathroom, you will find a whirlpool.
The restaurant serves a magnificent choice of international and local dishes. There is a delicious selection of fresh meat, seafood, pasta, salads and tropical fruits. Many Maldivian specialties, beach buffets and barbecues provide further variety to the menu.
The Beach bar offers cocktails, beers, fruit, juices, wines and non alcoholic drinks. Enjoy your drink while watching the breathtaking beauty of the sunset or the crystal clear starlit skies.

There is a spectaculair housereef with 7 entry points, all served with tank shuttle service. Even mantas and whalesharks have been seen several times on the housereef. You can dive from early morning to late evening with your buddy on this marvellous reef.
Twice a day one of the dive dhonies depart to the dive spots near the island. There are more then 30 different sites that can be reached within 5 to 60 minutes. Three or four dhonies depart on the same time to different refs, so there is always a reef suitable for your diving skills and interest.
The unspoiled reefs in this area are exclusive to divers from Filitheyo, since there are no other dive centres nearby!
